In this classic tale based on Chinese folklore, Nian Gengyao (Jimmy Lee), after training in the martial arts, decides to go to the outside world and join Prince Yongsheng (Norman Chu) for gaining the emperor's position as a top general. In a cunning plan, he plots a rebellion aganist the tyrant prince with his partner Pai Tai Hau (Alan Hsu). This movie was originally made to star Bruce Lee, as part of his contract with Lo Wei. However, due to Lee’s untimely passing remained in production hell until 1980. Criminally underrated martial arts classic with Shaw Brothers production values and superb martial arts choreography.
